Apart from the ethical question of using animal based proteins in hair products such as nails, hair, bone and other slaughter house by-products, there are the problems caused by these substances 'breaking down' into 'fatty acids' on the hair, This causes a reaction with oxygen in the air making the hair heavy with build-up and not sustaining the first benefits of any treatment you may have had.
